About
A psychologist who listens first.
As a school psychologist based in Harrisonburg, I work at the intersection
of mental health and education — because the challenges children bring to
the table rarely fit neatly into one category. A learning difficulty may
sit alongside anxiety. A behavioral concern may be a response to an
undiagnosed processing gap.
My approach is collaborative and thorough. I take the time to understand
each child as a whole person — their strengths, their struggles, their
context — so the recommendations I make are grounded in real understanding
rather than assumptions.
Whether you're a parent seeking answers, a school looking for assessment
support, or an educator wanting to better understand a student, I'm here
to help clarify the picture and point toward meaningful next steps.
Compassionate & child-centered
Evidence-based practice
Clear, jargon-free communication
Family & school collaboration
How It Works
From first call to clear answers.
1
Initial Consultation
We start with a conversation — no pressure, no commitment.
Share what's on your mind, ask your questions, and we'll
determine whether and how I can help.
2
Assessment & Evaluation
Using validated, research-backed tools, I conduct a thorough
evaluation tailored to your child's unique situation. This
may span one or multiple sessions.
3
Feedback & Recommendations
You'll receive a detailed written report and a feedback session
where findings are explained in plain language — along with
specific, actionable recommendations.
4
Ongoing Support
Whether your child needs therapy, IEP consultation, or simply
a trusted professional to consult with, I'm here for the long
haul — not just the assessment.
The assessment report gave us something we'd been searching for
years — a clear understanding of how our son's mind works.
For the first time, we knew exactly what to ask for at school
and how to support him at home.
